Abstract For my own part, I think that if one were looking for a single phrase to capture the stage to which philosophy has progressed, ‘the study of evidence’ would be a better choice than ‘the study of language’. —A.J. Ayer, Philosophy in the Twentieth Century Evidence plays a crucial role in the investigation. A case is as strong as its evidence. It is of foremost importance. Without proof there can be no case in a court of law and without evidence there can be no proof. Evidence relies on research and proven facts, and not on conjecture or common belief.
